CURATIO is the official medical journal published by the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. This is a biannual peer-reviewed publication accepting original articles, brief reports, perspectives, case reports, and book reviews pertaining to medical and allied health sciences. The concept paper by Professor Hasini Banneheke led to the commencement of the journal. The journal was launched on the 9th of November, 2022 witnessed by titans in the field of medicine such as Emeritus Professor Mohan De Silva and Professor Aloka Pathirana. The journal is reviewed by a panel of faculty members and alumni of the faculty spearheaded by Prof. Hasini Banneheke and Dr. Shehan Silva.
The name of the journal was proposed by a pioneering group of student editors including Sachitra Ratnasooriya, Bhanu Wijetilake, Dulanji Beneragama, Thejan Elapatha, Kasuni Kumarasinghe, and Reema Zainab. The cover page and logo were created by the medical students themselves.
