RAGGING IS NOT PART OF LIFE OF FMS STUDENTS !!!

The Faculty of Medical Sciences strongly supports a policy of zero tolerance towards ragging. When the first group of medical undergraduates joined the Faculty, they were subjected to ragging by students from other faculties. With this experience, the pioneer medical undergraduates made a collective decision not to engage in ragging and signed a pledge committing themselves not to subject any individual to ragging. Additionally, they took active measures in preventing the second batch of students being ragged by ensuring they were accompanied to the Faculty. This tradition has continued, and both the staff and students of the Faculty of Medical Sciences work together to ensure that ragging does not occur in the Faculty.

The pledge made by the pioneering batch of students is available in the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Medical Sciences. Over time, this pledge evolved into the Faculty Oath.
