Talents 2025, held in March 2025, was a landmark celebration that brought together art, culture and charity on a grand scale.
The event was graced by the presence of renowned singer and violinist Amarasiri Pieris as the Chief Guest, whose artistry added exceptional prestige to the evening, while the Vice-Chancellor honored the occasion as the Guest of Honor.
The event drew and audience of about a thousand, including doctors, parents of students, medical faculty staff, and a strong alumni presence comprising distinguished doctors and those of various professions.
Talents 2025 featured a vibrant array of performances, with dances representing diverse cultural traditions from across the world, including rich Sri Lankan and Indian dance forms, alongside captivating musical arrangements and orchestral presentations. A special tribute item dedicated to the Chief Guest, featuring his collaboration with the orchestra and live performance, stood out as a highlight of the night.
All net proceeds from the event were donated to the Shantha Sevena Hospice associated with Apeksha Cancer Hospital, enabling significant charitable contributions and reinforcing the event’s commitment to social responsibility. The overwhelming response and impact of Talents 2025 firmly established it as a signature event held in high regard by students, faculty and the wider community.
