University of Sri Jayewardenepura Wins Inter Medical Faculty Physiology Quiz 2025 Championship
Students from the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, have been crowned champions of the prestigious Professor Carlo Fonseka Challenge Trophy – 10th Inter-Medical Faculty Physiology Quiz 2025. The event, organized by the Physiological Society of Sri Lanka, took place on June 14, 2025, at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo.
The victorious team demonstrated exceptional knowledge and unwavering determination throughout the competition. Their journey began with a strong performance in the opening round against Uva Wellassa University, followed by a quarter-final victory over Sabaragamuwa University. They then progressed through a challenging semi-final encounter with the University of Colombo.
The team’s quiet dedication and collaborative spirit were evident, culminating in a strong showing in the final match against the University of Peradeniya. Their profound grasp of physiology and cohesive teamwork were key to their success.
