Demonstrating Life-Saving Excellence: 1st Runners-Up at Inter-University CPR Competition
The Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura is pleased to announce that our students secured First Runners-Up at the Inter-University Medical Students’ CPR Competition, organized by the Sri Lanka College of Anaesthesiologists and Intensivists in celebration of World Restart a Heart Day.
The competition was held on 20th December 2025 and saw the participation of medical
faculties from across the country.

The representatives of our faculty underwent an intensive week-long training program under the guidance of Dr. Kavya Boteju, with the support of senior members of the Resuscitation Club of the Faculty. We gratefully acknowledge the provision of the Skills Laboratory and the necessary resources that facilitated their training.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the team for their outstanding performance and commendable achievement, which has brought pride to both the Resuscitation Club and the Faculty of Medical Sciences.
