Consultations

Consultations are carried out by our doctors in a comfortable setting while ensuring your privacy at all times.

A paper-based recording system is maintained for all registered patients.

We screen all patients and persons accompanying then at entry to the clinic for risk of COVID to ensure safety of all patients.

As our primary concern is the safety of our patients safety precautions and safe distance are maintained.

Consultation fee           Rs. 200/-

Minor Surgical Procedures

The mini surgical theatre is available for minor surgical procedures such as:

  • removal of abnormal/diseased nails
  • incision & drainage of abscesses
  • removal of sebaceous cysts
  • dermatological procedures e.g. chemical (TCA) cauterization

Dressing and other minor surgery costs:
Rs. 100/- to Rs.1000/-

(depends on material cost)

Emergency Care

Emergency management is available from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm on weekdays.

We are well equipped to manage the emergencies seen in a primary care setting.

The facilities include a nebulizer, ECG machine, parenteral therapy and emergency care drugs.

ECG cost                         Rs. 400/-

Nebulization cost            Rs. 200/

Nebulization with O2      Rs.100/-

Physiotherapy Services

A qualified physiotherapist provides services on a regular basis where the following facilities are available:

  • Elderly rehabilitation
  • Muscle and balance strengthening exercises
  • Ergonomics & posture correction advice
  • Pain management
  • Dry needling
  • Electrotherapy
  • Therapeutic exercises
  • Pre-operative and ;post-operative rehabilitation
  • Pulmonary rehabilitation

Allergy Clinic

The clinic is conducted by Prof. Chandima Jeewandara who is the Director of Allergy, Immunity and Cell Biology Unit of the University and Prof. Neelika Malavige who is a Professor in the Department of Immunology and Molecular Medicine of the Faculty.

Clinic time: Tuesday 9.30 am

Endocrinology Clinic

The clinic is conducted by Dr. Maulie Arambewela who is a Consultant Endocrinologist from Colombo South Teaching Hospital.

Many patients are seen at our endocrinology clinic including those with diabetes and thyroid related problems.

Diabetic patients will be cared for routinely where they will be monitored for complications and we will help you optimize your quality of life.

Clinic time: Monday 1.00 pm to 4.00 pm.

Making an appointment

Patients visit our centre for various complaints including acute illnesses, follow up of chronic illnesses and emergencies.


Walk in appointments

Our centre is open from 8 .00 am to 4.00 pm. Once you visit our centre for a new complaint the receptionist will direct you to a clinician.


Urgent medical needs

If you have an urgent medical/surgical problem, you will be directed to the emergency room.

A clinician will see you at his/her earliest.


Follow up appointments

If you are already registered in family practice centre, you will be given the follow-up dates by the clinician who takes care of you.

Registration

The doctor who treats you will decide whether or not to register you as a long-term patient.
