Call for Abstracts

The Research Committee of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura invites abstract submissions for the International Conference on Medical Sciences 2026, held under the theme “Spectrum of Medical Sciences: Integrating Research, Innovation and Global Health.”

Submissions are welcome from professionals, researchers, and students in the field of medical sciences, based on their research. We also welcome case reports and case series.

All abstracts must adhere strictly to the prescribed abstract preparation guidelines and must clearly identify the Sustainable Development Goal(s) (SDGs) addressed by the study at the submission. Selected abstracts will be presented as oral or poster presentations.

Details regarding oral presentation guidelines and participant registration will be made available on the conference website upon notification of abstract acceptance.

Abstract Submission

All abstracts must be submitted ONLINE. The abstract must be submitted as a WORD document (as an attachment). The Abstract Preparation Guidelines and a sample abstract are available to download to assist you in following the required format.

  1. The presenting author should register for the conference.
  2. Abstracts submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
  3. The abstract should be submitted electronically as a Word document.
  4. The file should be named using the ‘title’ of the abstract.
  5. The abstract should be uploaded to the abstract submission portal along with the author details and the relevant SDGs addressed.
  6. There is no submission fee.
  7. There is no limit to the number of abstracts an individual author may submit except for the 3MT presentations.

 

Abstract Acknowledgement

A confirmation email acknowledging receipt of your abstract submission will be automatically emailed to you once you have completed the online abstract submission. If you do not receive this confirmation email, or wish to make changes to your submitted abstract*, please contact the conference secretary by emailing to icm.fms@sjp.ac.lk.
