Thirty participants -academic staff and trainees from multiple institutions nationwide, including the University of Jaffna – took part.
Programme Highlights
- Why conduct interventional research?– framing value, ethics, and impact (Prof. Udaya Ranawaka).
- Interactive sessions on clinical trials– essentials of protocol development, navigating the Sri Lankan regulatory framework, and preparing documentation (Dr. Ashmini de Abrew; Dr. Manu Wimalachandra; Prof. Nithushi Samaranayake).
- SLCTR registration– step-by-step guidance and common pitfalls.
Outcomes
Participants left with a clearer understanding of design choices, documentation requirements, and the SLCTR registration process, as well as contacts for follow-up support. Feedback highlighted the practicality of the sessions and the value of the interactive Q&A.
