Research Committee – 4th Annual Academic Session – 2000

The Fourth Annual Academic Sessions of the Faculty of Medical Sciences were held on 28 and 29 July 2000 at the Anatomy Auditorium, Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Professor Devaka Fernando served as Chairperson of the Organising Committee, with Dr D. K. Ruberu and Dr Hemantha Peiris acting as Coordinators of the Academic Sessions. The Fourth Annual Faculty Lecture was delivered by Emeritus Professor Colvin Goonaratne, Senior Professor in Physiology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo, and was titled “Ethical Principles for University Teachers”. The programme comprised a pre-congress session, plenary lectures, and oral presentations, reflecting the continued maturation and diversification of the Faculty’s academic and research activities.
