ETHICS REVIEW COMMITTEE, FACULTY OF MEDICAL SCIENCES,

UNIVERSITY OF SRI JAYEWARDENEPURA RE-RECOGNIZED BY SIDCER

The Ethics Review Committee of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura (ERC, FMS, USJP) was formally re-recognized by the Strategic Initiative for Developing Capacity in Ethical Review (SIDCER) at the 15^th Annual Conference of the Forum for Ethical Review Committees in the Asian and Western Pacific Region (FERCAP) which was held in November 2015 at Nagasaki, Japan. Professor Chandanie Wanigatunge received the certificate of re-recognition on behalf of the ERC.

The SIDCER recognition is based on an assessment of the quality of the ERC, its adherence to specific policies for ethical review, the completeness of its review process, the after review process and documentation. ERC, FMS USJP was the second ERC in Sri Lanka to receive SIDCER recognition in 2012.
