Department of Immunology and Molecular Medicine
Department of Immunology and Molecular Medicine was established as the 17th Department in the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. The department was declared open on 18th September 2019 by Prof. Surangi G. Yasawardene, Dean, Faculty of Medical Sciences in its temporary location in the ground floor of the eight storied new Faculty Building adjoining Medical Library. Prof. Neelika Malavige was appointed and assumed duties as the first Head of the Department and Dr. Chandima Jeewandara, Senior Lecturer assumed duties as the other pioneer academic member of the Department.
